A highly specific and sensitive technique used for the study of hepatic hemangiomas. Also it is used to assess the nature of hepatic lesions by studying the blood pooling in the liver and lesions. Fasting: Is not preferred as you will be requested to considerably increase fluid intake, consequently increasing urination frequency. Medication contradiction: Medications may be resumed as usual. Tracer method of intake: The radiopharmaceutical will be injected intravenously. Examination duration: The imaging process will take up to 45 minutes for each imaging session. Imaging will be conducted 20 minutes after the injection and again 2 hours later. Required previous reports: A report of CT/MR should be provided if available.
