Equilibrium Radionuclide Angiogram, provides a highly accurate study evaluating heart pumping functions per beat. It is usually requested for patients undergoing chemotherapy to be considered as a baseline or follow up, identifying long term side effects.

Fasting: Is not preferred as you will be requested to considerably increase fluid intake, consequently increasing urination frequency, as frequent urination is requested.

Medication contradiction: A list of medications should be provided as they may cause an interference with RBC (Red Blood Cells) labeling.

Tracer method of intake: You will receive two intravenous injections 30 minutes apart to label you RBC with the radiopharmaceutical.

Examination duration: The imaging process will take 20 minutes; the imaging will be conducted 20 minutes after the tracer is injected.
